ABS-CBN Radio chart updates

SATURDAY, JANUARY 12, 2008

101.9 For Life: Saturday Top 40. Sponge Cola is starting the year right as their contribution to the Kami nAPO Muna Ulit album spends its fourth week at #1. "Saan Na Nga Ba'ng Barkada" beat out Night Shift's "Ang Sarap Mong Magmahal" and Willie Revillame's "Kung Para Sa 'Yo" which were non-movers at the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Acel Bisa's English version of "One Love", from the Koreanovela Spring Waltz, rises highest twelve spots to #4, and PDA grand star dreamer Yeng Constantino also climbs 9 places to #6. Both songs are on its second week on the countdown. Meanwhile, this week's lone new entry is from Yeng's fellow PDA graduate RJ Jimenez as "Sa Wakas" debuts at #19.

MOR 97.1 Cebu: Top Hits Countdown. While the official singles are "Inconsolable" and "Helpless When She Smiles" did not make it into the chart, the Backstreet Boys stay on top with "Nowhere to Go", a bonus track lifted off the album Unbreakable. Gagong Rapper remains the top-charting Filipino artist with "Huling Hiling" at #9, besting Willie Revillame's "Kung Para Sa 'Yo" (#12) and Cebu-based DJ Whingz's "Melon" (#20), an MOR exclusive track.

Ikaw pa rin ang number one!

101.9 FOR LIFE SATURDAY TOP 40 - November 10, 2007

Still on top this week is Sarah Geronimo, whose song "Ikaw" spends its 5th week at #1 on the WRR 101.9 For Life Saturday Top 40. Debuting 8 weeks ago, it has stood strong so far against threats like Kyla's "Love Will Lead You Back" which stays close at #2. Nikki Gil's version of "Gotta Go My Own Way" is also on the rise at #3.

Sarah also leads the new entries with her fellow Jewel Sisters as "Pangarap na Bituin" debuts highest at #24. Meanwhile, "A Little Too Perfect" by Sam Milby leaps furthest from #30 to #18 and "Nagmamahal ng Tunay" by Piolo Pascual drops out of the Top 10 to #16. Lolit Solis is nowhere to be found on the countdown.

Radio Chart Updates

Period covered: OCTOBER 19-22, 2007

Over the weekend, we have different number ones from different radio stations. So let's have a glimpse of what's hot all over the archipelago:

At Y101-FM Cebu, Danish singer Ida Corr and Dutch DJ Fedde Le Grand continue to reign in the Weekend Top 20 with their collaboration entitled "Let Me Think About It."

At Monster Radio RX93.1's Top 7 and the Wannabes Countdown, Britney Spears gives way as "Gimme More" goes down to #2. Timbaland and OneRepublic become the kings at #1 and tells everyone to "Apologize."

At 101.9 For Life, Toni Gonzaga rises with "I've Fallen For You" but not high enough as it only lands at #2. Sarah Geronimo stays on top of the Saturday Top 40 for a second week with "Ikaw."

Rihanna and Ne-Yo's magic continue to work its way as they score another #1 hit at Magic 89.9. Their song "Hate That I Love You" tops the Magic 30 this week.

On the Charts of Jam 88.3, pop-rock quartet Melee is definitely "Built to Last" on the countdown as they are still on top despite already being the longest-staying entry (now 18 weeks old) on the Top 25.

And at 97.1 Lupig Sila Cebu, Sheryn Regis continues her hometown queenship as she dominates the MOR Top Hits Countdown with "Di Na Babalik Pa" at #1 for the 3rd straight week. She is threatened though as High School Musical 2 song "Gotta Go My Own Way" climbs 7 notches to #2.

Ronnie dethrones Sarah with Gusto Kita

101.9 FOR LIFE SATURDAY TOP 40 - September 29, 2007

After 5 weeks at #1, Sarah Geronimo is finally unseated on the 101.9 For Life Saturday Top 40. Taking the top spot from her is Pinoy Dream Academy graduate Ronnie Liang, whose song Gusto Kita reaches its peak after only 5 weeks on the chart.

But while I'll Be Alright is now at #3, Sarah Geronimo is still at no loss as her song Ikaw is the biggest gainer this week, which is up 13 spots to #16. Toni Gonzaga (I've Fallen For You), Piolo Pascual (Nagmamahal ng Tunay) and Aiza Seguerra (Para Lang Sa 'Yo) also climb up 9 notches each, all breaking into the top 10. Three newcomers also enter the countdown, with Shamrock's "Haplos" debuting highest at #27.

Sarah Geronimo unshaken at the top spot

101.9 FOR LIFE SATURDAY TOP 40 - September 15, 2007

Sarah Geronimo is definitely alright as she lands at #1 on the 101.9 For Life Saturday Top 40 for the fourth straight week with I'll Be Alright. The song, which is now on its 10th week on the chart, is taken from her recently released fourth studio album Becoming.

Meanwhile, There was no chart movement within the top 4 as Akon's Don't Matter, Beyoncé's Irreplaceable and 6cyclemind's Dinamayan didn't budge from their positions last week.

Gainers and New entries. Ronnie Liang's Gusto Kita and Sam Concepcion's Even If are the highest climbers this week, up 11 spots to break into the top 20, at #11 and #15 respectively. Sean Kingston headed this week's newcomers with Beautiful Girls at #26, while Sponge Cola's Movie and Jed Madela's Forevermore also enter the countdown.
