Paramore scores first Killer Bee #1

KILLER BEE 92.3 CEBU: BEE TOP 30

January 13, 2008. Tennessee-based Paramore is dominating the Killer Bee Cebu airwaves as their song "crushcrushcrush" topped the Bee Top 30 this week. The Grammy-nominated pop rock band also has an album track on the chart, "That's What You Get" which has climbed to #13. Their previous single "Misery Business" was a Top 5 hit but never cracked the #1 spot.

Former #1 "Tattoo" by Jordin Sparks drops to #4 after 4 weeks on top. And three songs debuted with Secondhand Serenade landing highest with "Your Call" at #19. [Chart image]

2007 Yearend Edition. A few weeks ago, the Killer Bee also had a year-end countdown on the last Sunday of 2007. Taking the top spot is Elliott Yamin. His hit "Wait for You" was #1 for 5 weeks and spent a total of 16 weeks on the chart, more than enough for it to earn the #1 spot against 29 other contenders.

The points-based computation put the Song of the Year a mile ahead (well, 80 points that is) from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' "Your Guardian Angel" which was the runner-up on the year-end chart. [Chart image]
